WHAT CAN YOU TRY NEW TODAY?

YOU ARE A FAILURE!  How many people cringe when they hear that?  I have lived my entire life afraid of failure.  Failure in marriage, failure as a mom, failure as a friend, failure as an employee, and failure as a leader.  Sometimes we are paralyzed with fear of failure.  But what if failure was not negatively viewed?  What if failure means you tired something new?

I recently failed at doing something I am very passionate about.  I am a foster mom for dogs who have been neglected, abused, or spent their lives in a shelter.  CHARLEE is my current foster.  I have had her for almost 3 weeks.  She came to me so scared and frightened of EVERYTHING including me.  I poured every once of love I have into her to show her life is wonderful and full of love.

Today is national dog adoption day and I have FAILED.  When you foster a dog and decide you love the dog and want to keep it…it is called FOSTER FAIL!!  WHAT?  There is that word failure again, the one I have worked at so hard to stay away from.

My failure has given Charlee and myself a life of unconditional love.  So, let us change how we view failure, failure means you tried, and your failure can change lives.

5 Steps Your HOA Should Take To Protect You

The Coronavirus is changing everything. You should be social distancing, wearing mask & gloves when out in public. But what is your association doing? This virus is changing our industry, possibly for the better. These are 5 steps that your HOA should be taking to protect you.

  1. Video Meetings - Most associations are holding video conferencing. Because homeowners have a right to attend all Board meetings you should be permitted to attend via video conferencing. This is causing the attendance to soar and keeping homeowners informed.
  2. Cleaning Common Areas - All common areas should be disinfected. Hallways, clubhouses, laundry rooms, common bathrooms, etc... should be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
  3. Closing Facilities - Gyms, pools, saunas and the like should be closed during this outbreak & sanitized thoroughly prior to opening.
  4. Sanitizer - It may not be an option at this time, but once this is over the association could purchase sanitizer stations to be used for meetings or gatherings.
  5. Postpone Events - Limiting the social events during this time is imperative to making sure your keeping all of the homeowners safe and may be one way for the association to cut back on cost in preparation for possible increase in delinquencies.
